How to Teach Your Cat Its Name

  1. Vanpyre

  2. Donna Schmidt

I had a big Maine Coon named Moose Waine. One of his vocalizations sounded like ‘Waine”. Until I took it to be spayed we called it Molly Weasley. Surprise, it was a boy, and because he was huge — the name Moose.

  3. Vicki N

I tried to find a similar sounding name to the rescue kitten I adopted. She was originally called “Felon” (yuck!) So we went through Helen then to Ellen and finally to Ella and with her new surname, she became “Ella McFearsome” though technically it should have been “Elle McFearsome” but then she’d have to relearn the sound of an entirely new first name.
